Hi my name is John and Im a peasant. I live in a mud brick house with my two brothers. We are made up of the lowest and largest class in Egypt. Are jobs are to supply everyone with food and help build monuments. When the water was going down from the flood we would help work on royal projects. Also the crops that we grew were wheat, and barley. We use it to make bread and beer. While we work in the fields we would sang songs to make the time go by fast. Also we use the money for furniture. We didn't have enough money to buy nice furniture so we got woven mats. For dinner we ate onions, cucmbers, fish, homemade bread, and water. We don't eat meat because it cost to much. Later on during the harvest season me and my family would get a reward. It was you would get to keep all the leftover grains from the harvest. During tax time if we didn't pay are taxes we would get brutally beaten. Also peasants enjoy a river game it is played when you knock each other of a papyrus rafts.
